Manchester

Yesterday, mom and I tooled around downtown Manchester... we got lost (as was expected), but we did see some amazing dresses and whatnot in a few shops... And we also found an awesome clearance rack at one store... where I got yet another vest and a shirt for 2 pounds... so like, 2-ish dollars (I don't know the current conversion)...

Then after lunch we made it to an art museum... it was very cool... I really like that sort of stuff, lol...

I have no idea what we'll be doing next, but that's perfectly fine with me...

Shopping and a Sunset

So we didn't see Richard play hockey, but we went to a little fair thing in downtown Preston... It was really fun...

Mom got cotton candy of course... And I bought a sweater type thing and another jacket...
Yesterday, we went to the Catholic church again... And then had a beef roast... it was superb as all of mom's roasts are...

Then last night, we went to the coast and walked on the beach and watched the sunset... it was gorgeous!

Another Visit to the Pub

Angels & Demons was great!!! They had to cut a few things, but it was still really good... Though they did cut out my favorite part (a Star Trek joke near the beginning... yes, it is dorky)

Other than that not much has been going on... Last night we went out to the pub and I had a pint and a half of some cider ale. It was good... tasted a lot like Woodchuck Cider Ale, which is what I drink back home if I'm drinking beer...

Tonight we're going to see Richard play in a hockey game, which I am extremely excited about!!!

Not much

So... Monday and Tuesday (and so far today) not much has gone on...

Monday mom and I did laundry and I finally got all unpacked... and Tuesday we went to The Mall, but didn't really find anything...

Tonight we're going to go see Angels & Demons which is exciting because I loved that book way more than The Da Vinci Code... Hopefully the movie is as good...

An English Pub and Sunday Mass

Last night, we went out to a pub called Lane's End... And I met Graham and Barbara and their son, Richard. They're absolutely hilarious... We finally got back home at about 12:30am...

I had a drink last night that was bright blue... kinda tasted like blue raspberry popsicles, lol...

And then this morning we went to a Catholic church service, one of the few that I've been to... And met an elderly Irish woman name Jo... She was absolutely hilarious, as well... She fed me about 5 biscuits (cookies, for those in the States ;) ), just like Grandma Peeks and Grandma VanLoo would do.

When we got home, we took Rosie for a walk and then had some supper... nothin fancy... But now we're about to watch The Da Vinci Code... so I gotta go...

Shopping

I went shopping today... got a really cute coat... On sale, no less... lol.

And had my first Indian food ever... It was interesting and very good. The owner's of the restaurant were very nice.

After that we went to a pub called Lane's End and I had something to drink, I have no idea what it was called... LOL... someone else ordered it for me. All I know is that it was a beer and it was pretty good.

I also got a couple pictures of the dog who lives where I stay... Her name is Rosie and she's a real sweetheart!

Well, we're watching some T.V. now... It's an older John Cleese show that is absolutely hilarious, so I have to go...

Arrival

So... Mom and I got to England in one piece... My shoulder is gonna give out because of lugging those stupid suitcases all over though... lol, just kidding...

It's really gorgeous here and I hope to have lots of stories soon!

And we did find the time to take a couple photos on the plane...

Anyway... it's almost noon over here and we've got stuff to do and see... after a good nap...

Ok... So here's my idea...

I'm going to England for the summer... And I'd love to keep everyone updated... But I'm not really good at writing emails and whatnot... So, I figure it would be easiest to post here and everyone can read it at their leisure...

That's my idea...
